BMH is nestled in the pines of the Gila National Forest at the
base of Burro Mountain. The elevation at the Homestead in
southwestern New
Mexico is about 6700 feet. Mule deer roam the camp. There are full
hookups, boondock, and long term RV sites. Hiking and ATV trails, rock
hounding, bird watching, pre-historic Indian sites and abandoned mines
surround the ranch. The summers here are sunny and mild., a cool relief
from the surrounding desert.
Area Attractions:
Historic Silver City and Pinos Altos, Galleries, Golf Course, Gila
Cliff Dwelling National Monument, The Catwalk,
plus several lakes and the Gila River. It's about a 2 hour drive to
Mexico.

Directions to BMH:
From Silver City, NM, go south for ten miles on Hwy NM 90,
stay on 90 for 1.1 miles after you go under the mine railroad overpass.
Turn right
(west) on Tyrone/Thompson road, then seven miles on county maintained
road to BMH gate.
From Lordsburg, NM, take NM Hwy 70 north to NM 90, travel on
NM 90 until just past mile marker 30, turn left (west) on
Tyrone/Thompson Road, then seven miles on county maintained road to BMH
gate.
